Join the Demonstrator Club!

Join the Demonstrator Club!

Choose $155 of anything you want from any active catalog (annual + Occasions) or online store exclusives yet only pay $99 plus tax. That is $30 more FREE than our standard kit.

Who doesn’t love “free”????

Ships FREE too! There’s that “free” word again…

Let’s do the math:

Choose $155 (not a penny more)

Ships FREE which saves $15.50

Pay $99 plus tax

$56 in free product + $15.50 saved from shipping = $71.50 saved and you pay only $99 plus tax for $155 in product!

Here’s my question: why not? NO risk, NO strings, 20-25% off as a demonstrator (start at 20% off then bump up to 25% off with your first title promotion)… try it for a few months (you can be a demonstrator through June 30 without buying a thing after you join) with no penalty if it doesn’t work out and plenty of discounted product via this special joining order and any future regular purchases as part of the SU! family!
Read the frequently asked questions flyer included in this mailer. Simple steps to join (only takes minutes) also included.

6 days left in Joining event! The Why.

I'm going to try to answer some questions you might have about being a Stampin'Up! Demonstrator. These are all from my personal experience.

1. Why should I become a Demonstrator?

It's fun. But really, you should become a Demonstrator not just for the opportunity to make money, but because you love paper crafting. The products are reasonable when compared to other companies, their stamps are exclusive to them, and stamp amazingly. With refills your ink pads can last forever.

2. How hard is it to make the quota?

Not hard at all! I budget $100 a month for Stampin'Up! because that's what I can afford. I'm trying to work up to $150 a month. Why? At $150 you can earn $15 in "Hostess Rewards". Also realize I'm talking Retail dollars, not my cost dollars.

3. Why do I have to sell?

You don't! If you want to buy just for your crafting needs it's fine.

4. Why do I have to give Workshops?

I have never done a live workshop, heck, I've never been to one. I'd love to do one, but I don't feel my skills are there yet. So, I'm working on that.

5. Why shouldn't I do this?

Not one reason I can think of. I joined for one reason - basically the kit - but I've really grown to love the products and surprisingly making cards. I didn't think I needed a Big Shot till I got it - and can't imagine not having it!

OH and if you join by March 31st, I'll send you a little something!

Sorry!

I've been MIA for a while. Had a bit of a crisis with a major Glass Art project, then Birthdays. Also having a hard time rigging something to film projects, still working on that one. Next Week I'll get back to our regular schedule.

I've been working on building stock for more options and practicing making cards.

Happy Thursday! Craft Room Update!

Hope everyone is having a Happy Thursday! I know I am!

Today I went to Tuesday Morning - to look at albums to hold paper. But found something even nicer! Above their albums was a desktop set up. Box, Folders, Desk organizer to hold letters and Magazine holder. I got the folders to use as a reference. The most important thing in a craft room is it has to make you happy and feel creative. I've been looking at colors and feeling rather blah. Then I saw this set and knew it would create an area I would be happy in. My advise is to find 1 image that makes you smile when you see it, one of those unplanned, unexpected image inspired joyful moments. And use it to design your craft room. Here is what gave me that feeling.

Tomorrow is the LAST DAY!

Tomorrow is the LAST DAY to sign up for Paper Pumpkin to get the March Kit! Why is that so important? Because it is a limited edition - now what that means, I'm not sure. It could be a gift or it could refer to the pretty blue box - I won't know till it arrives!

It's also the last day to sign up for my Birthday Party. Just email me at bienvillestamping@gmail.com and ask for the code! I need any of the following in any combination 10 people willing to spend $100, 20 people willing to spend $50.00 or 40 people willing to spend $25.00. Since the party ends March 21st. If you spend $50 or more Stampn'Up! Will let you choose 1 Sale-A-Bration item for every $50.00. If we reach $1000 I'll happily send the Stampin' Rewards out to the participants! There will be a drawing for who gets how much!

He brought my Big Shot today! The rest of my order will arrive Friday.

Before all those lovely goodies arrive - I need to straighten up what will be the craft room/studio and clean my old studio and move the furniture in to the new studio - so hubby can have that room. This will give each of us about a quarter of the house for our individual artwork.

I'm looking forward to having my studio set up exactly the way I want. Yes I still need to do the floors and I may go get the stuff for that.

Weekly Deals and a truth about me.

First the Weekly Deals.

Now I watch and love Doctor Who! Yes I am a Whovian. So I was looking for a DVD storage idea and found this on Wayfair. All it needs is a coat of blue paint and changing out the sign to make it the perfect storage compartment for my stamps!

Blog Hop!

The Stamping With Others has a monthly Blog Hop on the 7th of every month. This month's theme was using one of the Sale-A-Bration products that are free with a $50.00 Purchase! I chose to use the Flowering Fields 141300 (wood mount) or 141303 (clear mount) stamps and make 3 post it note holders. I wish I could take full credit for the basic design but I found all of them on YouTube. I also used Another Thank You Photo Polymer stamps.

Version 1

originally created by: Noreen's Kitchen

This is the simplest of the 3.

I used Delightful Dijon trimmed to 3.5 X 8.5 inches.
It is scored at the following: 1 1/2, 1 7/8, 5 and 5 3/8

For inks I used Mint Macaron and Cucumber Crush - embellishments are Basic Pearls.
You will also need velcro dots to secure the flap and Glue Dots or a Snail to hold the Post-It-Note pad.

Stamp and add embellishments before folding along score lines. Add the Sticky Notes and velcro strips. Total time to make 10 minutes.

Version 2

A little more complex but gives you a hard cover holder.

What you'll need:
Designer Series paper cut to: 7 1/2 X 3 3/4 inches - exterior cover.
7 X 4 inches - interior cover - you may need to trim this before you put
                                                                       it on.

Whisper White Cardstock cut to 3 X 3 inches
Card board cut: (2) 3 1/4 X 3 1/4 and 1 at 1 1/2 X 3 1/4
Multi Purpose Glue or Fast Fuse Adhesive.
I used Tip Top Taupe Designer series paper and ink.

Instructions:
 - Center the 1 1/2 inch wide cardboard in the longest sheet of designer series paper, and glue. Hopefully your ruler does centimeters as well as inches - but you need to mark 1/2 centimeter on each side of the cardboard. Line up both 3 1/4 X 3 1/4 on either side and glue.

- Trim all 4 corners at a diagonal.

- Fold down trim and glue to the cardboard.

- Glue the 7 X 4 inch piece on the inside.

- Glue the Sticky Note (Post-It-Note) to the inside of the book. (Prior to doing this you can paint the edges of your Sticky Notes with a metallic spray paint. I would suggest cutting a 3rd piece of 3 1/4 X 3 1/4 piece of cardboard before doing this to keep the edges from flying up.)

- Stamp the image on the Whisper White with your design and glue to your book.

Notice I cut my cardboard too small and so my Whisper White piece covers the whole. This took about an hour with waiting for the glue to dry.

Version 3

Have to admit this one is my favorite for the busy professional.

Originally Designed by ChicnScratch

Warning: This one is complex (and the one you see is actually the second one I did.)

I used Cucumber Crush - Designer Series, Cardstock, and Ink and Whisper White Cardstock.

You will need:

Cardstock cut to 8 X 5 1/2
Whisper White Cardstock cut to 2 1/2 X 4 1/2 and 3 1/2 X 5 1/4
Designer Series Paper cut to 2 3/4 X 4 3/4, 3 3/4 X 5 1/2, and 1/2 X 3 1/4 (this last one is optional as you can use ribbon)
Sticky notes - 3X3 and mini.
Snail Adhesive
Pen

Instructions:

- Score the 8 X 5 1/2 at 3 3/4 and 4 1/4
- Fold along score lines and set aside - this is the holder.
- Using the 3 3/4 X 5 1/2 score at 1/4 inch on three sides and fold - along score lines
- Adhere to the 3 1/2 X 5 1/4 whisper white by the flaps. This creates the pocket.
- Using a large oval punch or by eyeballing create a notch in the open side.
- Use Snail adhesive to the back of the front of your holder on the opposite size.
- Find the pen you wish to use - I just happened to have a gel pen that matched but a simple pen will
work fine. Place the 3X3 on the page and determine location of the pen - I put it near the inside fold,
but you can put it on the outside.
- using the 1/2 X 3 1/4 adhere one side where it will be under the Sticky Note using the snail (you can
also use Fast Fuse) Double check spacing with the Sticky Note and make a loop that the pen will fit
in. and glue to the where the end will be under the Sticky Note.
- Using Snail Adhesive adhere the Sticky Notes.
- Adhere the 2 3/4 X 4 3/4 Designer Series paper to the front cover.
- Stamp the Whisper White 2 1/2 X 4 1/2 with your designs.
- Adhere the Whisper White to the Designer Series Paper.

This one took me about an hour and a half. Mainly because I ended up having to make 2.

Now that you've completed all three sit back and smile at your accomplishment!

Bienville VIPs Project 1

This is completely photographic. I used a piece of Designer Series Paper, but you can use Watermelon Wonder.

You can replace this piece with Watermelon Wonder.

I used a stamp from the February Paper Pumpkin Kit and a banner - but you can use any sentiment stamp.

Happy Thursday!!!

I hope you have had a great week! I've been busy, of course the first of the month is always busy for me.

As usual today's topic is building my craft room. The first rule of building any craft room is do what works for you. As we progress, you'll see that I use notebooks, journals, albums etc. I just like flipping through them. Besides, I'm kind of like a Junkie when it comes to back to school sales. Paper, notebooks, pads, pens, pencils... you name it I go crazy for it.

Paper Pumpkin Stamp storage has been an issue for me. The other day went on a trip to Michaels. I needed Foam Core for my ink pad storage system. While walking around I found these cute little photo albums for $1.99. So I picked one up. Now some of the larger sets I had to trim a bit to get them to fit, but otherwise it's perfect. I pulled out the front and back cover sheets and am going to redo them, just haven't had time.

My next purchase is 5 more notebooks and page protectors. That is if I can't find 5 notebooks around the house. These will be for the collections - Subtles, Neutrals, Brights, Regals and as soon as I find out what they are - the 2016-2018 In-Colors that will come out in June!
